Google Panda 2.5.2 Released

The latest update hot on the heels of Google Panda 2.5

Google’s procession of Panda updates continued last week with Panda 2.5.2 – which comes just a few days after Panda 2.5. The latest Panda update has been confirmed by Google’s Matt Cutts via Twitter.

At this point, we are yet to see evidence of the latest Google Panda update affecting rankings across our database but we will investigate further to try to identify specific ranking spikes which may be attributable to Panda 2.5.2.

There has been a little bit of chatter internationally about the Google Panda update and how it has affected websites and generally speaking, the minor changes haven’t been all that significant in terms of impact – not on quality sites at least.

Within the world of search engine optimization and online marketing, the various versions of the Google Panda update have dominated the headlines due to the impact they have had in rankings.

What does this mean for Australian businesses?

Google’s Panda Update is a term loosely applied to the several hundred algorithmic changes in the pipeline in 2011. It is a key part of Google’s march towards a better quality search experience for Google users – more accurate search results, delivered faster than ever before.

If you are a business that has generally produced quality online, the Panda updates should be a welcome development rather than a potential threat to your business. Quality signals are something all progressive online marketers should be welcoming with open arms as it distinguishes the best businesses from potential scammers.
