Untargeted, general ad groups can often mean poor quality scores on your keywords, a bad click through rate and low impression share. Imagine that you are an online florist that specialise in a variety of flower arrangements, and I, the consumer, hopes to find 'wedding flowers'. Now, an ad with specific mention of 'wedding flowers' identifies with my needs, compared to an ad that simply talks about 'flowers'. This ad is more in line with what I am looking for, and therefore the click through rate would be better, and the impression share higher, as people who are searching and subsequently clicking are being offered exactly the product they want. All of your products / services should have segregated ad groups.
