Changes to Google Analytics

Google Analytics set to offer enhanced usability and functionality

On 17th March, 2011 Google announced forthcoming changes to Google Analytics at their Google Analytics User Conference in San Francisco. The goal of the new Analytics interface is to facilitate an even better user experience – basically it will be an enhanced platform for improved functionality.

One example Google Analytics have announced is the multiple advanced segments view without the need to include ‘All Visits’ and the introduction of multiple dashboards. Users familiar with the Analytics dashboard are set to enjoy enhanced usability when the new format rolls out in the not too distant future.

The new version of Analytics is currently in a pre-launch test phase. The latest edition will not change how traffic is reported in Google Analytics and it is set to feature updated Help facilities for inexperienced users. Stay tuned to ROI for the latest developments and how they will impact on your business.
